Ever had “entrepreneur’s déjà vu”?
You create something ingenious. You step back to look at the finished product. And you get this sense of déjà vu.
It’s almost like you’re experiencing that moment of first completion… for the second time.
Pay attention to that feeling, because you’ve just had a marketing breakthrough.
And you probably don’t realise it yet.
For example, I had that feeling when I created FAST50 (https://fast50optins.com/ ).
But WHY I experienced déjà vu only dawned on me today, while I was revisiting a marketing classic.
I was reading Positioning: The Battle for Your Mind by Al Ries and Jack Trout.
This statistic caught my eye:
- The per-capita consumption of advertising in America today is $880.
What that actually means is horrifying for any business:
If you spend $1,000,000 a year on advertising, you are bombarding the average customer with less than a half-cent of advertising, spread over 365 days.
And that’s a consumer already exposed to $880 worth of advertising from other companies...
Spend $1m to get a 0.00056 % share of your prospect’s mind.
As the authors point out:
“Since so little material about your product is ever going to get into the mind of the prospect, your job is really not a ‘communication’ project.
It’s a selection project. You have to select the material that has the best chance of getting through.”
Less is more.
You have to sharpen your message to cut into the prospect’s mind.
I had a “Duh!” moment with a proverbial slap to the forehead when I read that statistic, and put two and two together.
THAT’s why my students’ opt-in offers convert so well.
The FAST50 process sharpens their message until it cuts into the prospect’s mind.
Now, I already know that the system works wonders when it is piloted by a seasoned marketer.
For example, I’m told that Dr Axe’s team used FAST50 to create their highest converting opt-in offer to date… by a large margin.
So we definitely know that the system works if you already have 1.8 million subscribers and are a household name in your niche.
But what fascinates me most is what “first-time marketers” can accomplish with it:
Clarissa created her first opt-in offer and it converted at 71.83% right out the gate.
0 to 153 subscribers in 48 hours.
William created his first high-converting opt-in offer.
Previously, he had created all manner of lead magnets no one ever opted in for.
His FAST50 opt-in? It’s converting at 53.1%.
Stuck at 0 subscribers for 2 years. Then from zero to over 100.
And recently Adrian joined the ranks of students who are outperforming their market… by a large margin.
His story goes something like this:
Creates FAST50 opt-in offer.
Day 1: It converts at 42.16%. From 0 to 43 subscribers in 24 hours.
Day 2: Reaches a 51.05% opt-in rate. From 0 to 122 subscribers in 48 hours.
So when I say…
“Yes, you CAN create a buyer-catching opt-in offer that converts at 50% in 48 hours”
I’m not just saying it…
I have the numbers to back it up.
Want random people on the internet to buy stuff from you?
Then you need an email list.
Want to grow your email list rapidly?
Then you need to a high-converting opt-in.
You can’t fill a reservoir with a leaky bucket. You can’t fill your email list with a leaky opt-in page.
Want a high-converting opt-in offer?
Want to get the most bang for your buck?
Want every hour spent on a guest post or every dollar spent on ads to come back to you in the form of subscribers?
Then you have to sharpen your opt-in offer so it cuts into your prospect’s mind. Your offer has to stand out in an overcrowded market.
So grab yourself a whetstone and march over to:
